Mexican New Years Tradition, According To My Mother...

Every family has their own traditions. Even if we follow a specific tradition from our culture, families will  always find a way to give the tradition a little twist.

Since it's almost New Year's Eve, I wanted to share a fun little tradition my family had for New Years.
According to my mother, underwear was a big thing because the color of your underwear was the reflection of what you wanted your year to look like. Like we all know, each color represent something; red-love, green-money, etc. This tradition has basically the same concept, but in this case with a new pair of panties. Basically, you choose your color, wear them on New years eve,  and welcome the year hoping that the color of your underwear will bring you whatever the color represents. The panties don't have to be expensive, the style doesn't really matter, the only important part of this tradition is the color.

Toda familia tiene sus propias tradiciones. Aún  si seguimos las tradiciones de nuestra propia cultutra las familias encuentran una maera de voltearlas poquito.

Como estamos a unos días de Año Nuevo, quería compartir una tradición que mi famila tiene para Año Nuevo. Según mi madre, el color de la ropa interior que uses el dia de Año Nuevo es el reflejo de cómo quieres que tu año sea. Como todos sabemos, cada color representa algo; rojo-amor, verde-dinero, etc. Esta tradición tiene el mismo concepto pero en este caso con una pantaleta nueva. Basicamente, solo escojes el color de tu pantaleta, la usas en noche buena, y pones changuitos que tu año te traiga lo que sea que represente el color. No tienen que ser súper  caros y el estilo tampoco importa, lo único  que importa de esta tradición es el color.
